Cook up your own beauty scrub with the best nature has to offer. Flaxseeds and other kitchen staples come together to create do-it-yourself masks, moisturizers and anti-aging solutions to keep your skin smooth, sexy and prepped for a day of beauty. Turn a rainy day project into a normal at-home spa experience, and your skin will thank you!

Flaxseed With Honey Mask

Make a tasty scrub with the astringent and antioxidant power of honey. Natural beauty expert Aleya Bamdad recommends putting two tablespoons of flaxseed in one quarter cup of boiled water until it thickens. "Allow the mixture to cool and then add one tablespoon of honey and mix it well. Apply the mask to your skin for five to 10 minutes and then wash it off with warm water," she says. Your skin will feel slightly tighter, so hydrate with your favorite moisturizer and feel your soft, supple skin rejuvenated.

Rosewater, Honey and Lemon Juice

Scrub away dead skin and bring back your glow with a mixture that Marion Simms, owner of Skinsense Wellness Spa in Los Angeles, creates for her clients. "Mix flaxseed oil with unground flaxseeds for light abrasion, add rosewater, honey and lemon juice mixed or blended in a bowl, and apply it with a brush," says Simms. Rinse off for a tingly glow that helps to fight aging, dehydration and inflammation.

Olive Oil

Give your skin elasticity and a radiant glow with an olive oil and flaxseed scrub. Add one tablespoon of flaxseed to one cup of boiled water until it thickens, let it cool and add a tablespoon of olive oil. Stir well and gently apply the mask to your skin in smooth, circular motions. Let the scrub penetrate your skin for 15 to 20 minutes, and wash off with warm water.

Plain Flaxseed Mask

Keep things simple with a plain flaxseed mask that's great for gently whisking away dead skin. Put one tablespoon of flaxseed in one cup of boiled water until it thickens, then cool it in the fridge until completely chilled into a paste. Apply the paste to your skin and leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes, gently scrubbing the face, then wash it off with lukewarm water. Lightly moisturize the skin with olive oil to give your skin a healthy, natural and kissable soft glow.
