After constantly dying, frying, straightening and perming, your poor, helpless locks will begin to cry out for help. Harsh chemical services performed too frequently can cause your hair to become dry and damaged. Chemical hair damage can be repaired and prevented by doing conditioning treatments. Creating a homemade conditioner can help your damaged tresses bounce back, regaining their natural moisture and luminous shine.

Banana and Avocado Conditioner

Avocados contain 15 percent fat content, which means this fruit is super moisturizing. The oil from an avocado penetrates all the way into your hair shaft and can fight against dryness and breakage. Bananas are full of vitamins that add shine and strength to your tresses. Mash 1 cup of an overripe banana and 1 cup of an overripe avocado. Mix the fruits and apply the mixture onto your scalp and ends. Leave conditioner in for 20 minutes, then thoroughly rinse out.

Strawberry Conditioner

Strawberries not only taste delicious but also do wonders for your locks. Strawberries contain acids that will condition your hair and give it some major shine. Mash eight strawberries and mix in 1 tbsp. of mayonnaise. Add the mixture to washed hair from root to tip. Cover your hair with a plastic cap and wrap it up in a warm towel. Let mixture sit for at least 10 minutes, then rinse.

Coconut Oil Conditioner

Coconut oil is the beauty industry's best-kept secret. Virgin coconut oil penetrates the hair shaft, softens the strands and will condition your scalp. This oil also gives your hair a luminous shine. Mix 2 tbsp. of coconut oil and 1 cup of warm water. Massage the mixture into your scalp down to the tips of your hair. Cover your hair with a plastic cap and let the mixture sit for at least two hours or overnight. Rinse out mixture.

Protein Conditioner

Protein conditioning treatments are a tremendous way to replenish the protein lost due to chemical services. This type of treatment can make the hair stronger, thus less prone to damage. Mix two eggs, 2 cups of full-fat yogurt and 1/4 cup of olive oil. Apply to your hair and leave in for 20 to 30 minutes. Rinse out the mixture thoroughly.
