The ponytail is every busy woman's go-to hairdo when she's running late on time. If you've ever overslept or lost track of time watching a Real Housewives marathon, you know that sometimes showering and shampooing before heading out the door can become a luxury. But the ponytail is always there to help you avoid going out in public with bedhead. Go for a high ponytail to create a chic, professional style that makes you look more like a woman in charge than a high school cheerleader. It's simple and you don't need to damage your hair with high heat to make it work.
1.
Drip a few drops of an anti-frizz hair treatment into your hands and rub that junk all throughout your mane to keep frizzies and flyaways at bay.
2.
Go at your hair with a soft-bristle brush and brush all of your locks back and away from your face. Gather your hair together at a high point on the back of your head, at a 45 degree angle from your chin.
3.
Secure your super-high ponytail with a snag-free elastic band, wrapping the band around your hair a couple of times until your ponytail is nice and tight.
4.
Pinch a 1-inch section of your ponytail with your fingers and wrap that lock around the elastic band holding your hair high in place to hide the rubber band. Secure the end of the lock against your head with two or three bobby pins.
5.
Tease and toss your high ponytail around until it looks as full as you want it to be, then set the whole look in place with a few spritzes of hair spray.
