Make your hair all the more interesting by pulling it to the side. Pulled-to-the-side styles are a perfect way to take a simple hairstyle and make it more fun. Whether you're rocking an updo, braided style or fab curls, you're sure to find the pulled-to-the-side style that works best for you. Or, you might fall in love with them all!
Ponytail
Throw your ponytail over to the side. Just brush hair over and secure it with an elastic band. If you want a sleeker look, wrap a section of hair around the base of your pony to cover the elastic and bobby pin it in place. Wear your ponytail curly or keep it straight. If you really want to up the drama, rock a super-long pony using hair extensions.
Braid
Pulling your braid to the side makes it look much more grown-up. Wear your hair in a perfectly polished braid or have some fun and make it really messy. Add curls or waves to hair to give your braid extra volume, or rock it with super-straight locks. If you want to do something even fancier, try a fishtail braid. Any way you go, your side braid is sure to look totally chic and right on trend.
Chignon
Rather than wearing a classic, elegant bun at the center, make it more trendy by pulling it to the side. Just like your braid, you can go with a clean and neat bun, or muss it up. To get your basic bun, pull hair into a side pony and twist it until it forms a bun, pinning it down with bobby pins. To make your bun messy, add a bunch of curls and loosely twist hair, or back comb hair to give it more volume before creating your chignon.
Side Swept Curls
For a dressier look, work big, glamorous, side-swept curls. Start by creating a deep side part in the hair. Then use a large barrel curling iron to curl locks, but only up to the ear. Once the curls are all cool, gently pull hair to the side. Simply wear it over your shoulder, or use a couple of bobby pins to pin hair in place.
