If there's one occasion that's worth getting all dressed up for and celebrating over, it's New Year's Eve. Hey, it's the most celebrated holiday in the world, and it's one that most gals really look forward to. You already know what you're wearing, so now you just have to figure out what to do with your hair. If you're a long-haired blonde, there are a few really chic styles you're sure to love that are perfectly suited to the occasion.
Loose Curls
You don't want anything too pageant-queen for New Year's, but loose curls are always a chic style. All the most fashionable celebrities love them, like Ashley Tisdale and Kim Kardashian. To get the look yourself, clip up the top two-thirds of your hair, use a large-barrel curling iron to curl around the bottom layer of your hair, then take down another section and curl around it, then do the same with the top section. Curl different-sized sections of hair for a natural, undone effect. Use some hair spray to set your style.
Side Chignon
A side chignon is one of the easiest yet most elegant hairstyles. You can use it for straight or curly hair, and it actually works best if your hair isn't freshly washed, so there, you save another hour of time from your get-ready routine. Part your hair to the side, pull it into a low ponytail, then twist it into a bun. Press the bun against the side of your head and secure it with some bobby pins or a hair elastic. Add a glittery hairband or some hair clips to finish off your New Year's style.
Decorated Ponytail
This isn't your average ponytail. Tease your hair around the roots first with some flexible-hold hair spray and a backcombing brush. Put your hair up in a high ponytail at the crown of your head. Slip in a decorative hair clip, like a flower clip or jeweled barrette. This adds a touch of sophistication and elegance to your look, making it perfect for New Year's celebrations.
High Fashion Bun
The high fashion bun style is seen on all the hottest fashion runways, and you can emulate your favorite supermodel with this stylish 'do. It looks intricate, like you spent hours in your stylist's chair getting your hair done, when it's actually really easy to do. Shampoo and condition your hair. Blow dry with a round brush for maximum lift. Wrap your hair into a bun at the crown of your head. You want the bun positioned so it's sitting almost right on top of your head. Mist over your hair with some hair spray to set your style and keep your beautiful bun in while you party all night long.
