As long as you've got a couple inches of hair to work with, there are endless ways to play around with it and change up your style for every occasion. If you've got a layered hairstyle and lots of pretty blond highlights you want to show off, try out a few styles that are really going to make you shine.

Big, Bouncy Curls

Amanda Bynes, Kim Kardashian, Lauren Conrad and lots of other celebs love the look of big, bouncy curls in layered hair, and you will too, especially if you add a bit of shine serum once you've finished styling. To achieve these curls, work up your hair in sections -- imagine dividing your hair into three even horizontal sections -- curling your hair with a large-barrel curling iron. Tousle your curls once you're finished, then pull half of your hair over one shoulder and half over the other. Wrap all the ends of one side around the curling iron to curl them together just at the ends, and do the same to the other side. Mist over your hair with some hair spray to set your style.

Sleek and Straight

Of course styling your hair sleek and straight is one of the best ways to show off layers and highlights. After washing, while your hair is still damp, gently rub a smoothing balm through your hair, and blow-dry with a round brush. Aim the blow dryer down on your hair and work in sections if you've got quite thick hair. If you've got bangs, straighten them as well, to make them match the rest of your hair and get a sleek, polished finish.

Twisted Ponytail

For an off-the-neck 'do that shows off layered blond hair in all its glory, try a twisted ponytail. This is a nice variation on the basic ponytail -- it's more chic and less plain. Blow-dry your hair, work a smoothing balm through your locks to get rid of any frizz, and pull it into a low ponytail at the back of your head, leaving just a 1-inch-wide strip of hair out at one side. Secure the ponytail with a hair elastic, then wrap the loose hair around the elastic and secure the ends with a bobby pin.

Short and Choppy

You don't need a really long cut to show off well-cut layers and pretty blond hair. A short, choppy layered style adds lots of volume in your hair and your blond highlights will shine from every angle. Spritz a root boosting spray around the roots of your hair and blow dry for at least a few minutes with your head upside down, to get the most body right at the roots where you want it. Flat-iron over the length of your hair, flipping the ends under or up, depending on the desired look.
