A little change is always a good thing. There's no reason your hair has to be one-dimensional. Switch things up and play with different colors and textures. Whether you choose to color your hair, try out a new texture or both, you're sure to make a fashionable splash with your newly coiffed strands.

Red

Thank actress Emma Stone for making red hair one of the chicest options out there. Opting for red locks definitely makes a statement. Don't feel like you have to wear a fiery red shade to pull off the color. Try a lighter, more subdued red with subtle bronze and blond undertones to keep things looking more natural. Red works best on ladies who have fair and tan complexions. If your complexion is olive or darker, the color isn't for you.

Shades of Blond

Whether or not blondes really do have more fun, lightening up your shade can be an exciting switch. Bright blond shades definitely make a statement. They're best reserved for ladies with lighter complexions, otherwise the contrast in tones is too much. If you have a darker skin tone, try a honey or coppery blond. Ombre hair is also a fashionable option for ladies looking to lighten up their dark locks. Hair will start with dark roots and gradually lighten at the ends.

A Vote for Texture Change

When it comes to hair texture, there's only so much you can do with your hair. Whether you've decided to color your locks or not, changing up your texture can always amp up your style. Plus, it's less permanent than color, so if you want to change your look for just a day, it's a safe bet.

Ones to Try

Beachy waves are a sexy and girly way to switch up your hair. To get the look, head to a drugstore of beauty supply store and get yourself a texturizing salt spray. Spritz it on damp hair and let it air dry. If you prefer sleek and straight use a blow dryer and round brush to give yourself a blowout and follow up with a flat iron if needed. Straight hair looks gorgeous when it's glossy so finish off with a bit of shine serum to make your mane sparkle. Curls give volume to any style. Try yours big and bouncy, messy and wild or in old-Hollywood pin curls. With a curling iron, some hairspray and a little patience, you can rock tons of fashionable curly looks.
