Hairdryers can make or break your look. Women blessed with thick, gorgeous hair can sometimes run into a problem when choosing a hairdryer. The best hairdryer for thick hair dries the hair fast, doesn't damage it, and is lightweight for even the tiniest diva. There are many things to look for when searching for the absolute best hairdryer for thick hair.

Solano

Italians just might know a thing or two about style. Maybe that's why Florida's Mosaic Hair Studio owner Mike Van den Abbeel completely relies on Salono hair dryers from Italy. Abbeel says that Salono dryers "have enough power to tackle even the most unruly mane." He says that thick hair needs a dryer that can push through all of the hair. Salono does just that and because it's ionic, it also helps smooth out the cuticle, giving the hair extra shine. Abbeel says that Salono hairdryers have all the features needed to recreate gorgeous salon hair at home. Owner of Wink Salon in North Carolina, Gilda Santiago, also says she loves the Super Solano hairdryer because the Solano infrared technology dries from the inside out to help with hydration and frizz.

Parlux

Getting desired results with thick hair isn't impossible. Rachel Grante, master stylist of Salon Daniel in Virginia loves Parlux 3800. Grante says the hairdryer is great for thick hair because it allows you to tame and blow dry the hair faster. Also, depending on hair texture and desired results, it helps with shaping curls with a round brush. The hairdryer is lightweight and it distributes the right ions and intense heat without burning the hair.

T3 Blow Dryers

Taming thick hair in a short amount of time may sound like a dream. Wake up doll, you can stop dreaming now. Lisa Crane, co-owner of Platform Color Style Salon in San Dimas, California, recommends the T3 Blow Dryer to all of the salon's clients. Crane says the dryer is infused with tourmaline to emit the ions and infrared heat. The best part of all of this is that it causes the hair to dry 70 percent faster. This means less time for hair to be exposed to intense heat. The T3 Blow Dryers are lightweight and great for thick hair. Crane says that women with thick hair should stay away from any blow dryers that are not ionic or infrared. The time regular blow dryers take to dry thick hair can cause heat damage to the hair and make it look dull and lifeless.

GKhair

Educators usually know best. It's no secret that director of education at Van Tibolli Beauty, John Benedettos, suggests using the professional dryer by GKhair for handling thick hair. Benedettos says the dryer tames even the thickest of hair with its strong airflow, allowing for quick smooth drying. Other fabulous features on the hairdryer include the heat and speed settings, along with with the concentration nozzle that allows for control.
