It's definitely hip to be square, particularly when your face is this shape. Chicks with square faces have sharp edges that typically look best when softened. Fortunately, the right haircut can create that feminine touch. When picking your haircut, it's all about finding ways to flatter and enhance what you have.
Bangs
To bang or not to bang -- that is the question, or at least it is here. Gals with square faces need help when it comes to playing down their face's masculine edges. Such a feat is accomplished with side-swept bangs. Not only do they just look cute, but they help to tone down the strong lines of your jaw. Skip blunt bangs, as they only emphasize your face's square shape, and not in a good way.
Style
Layers are a must when it comes to square faces. Face-framing layers provide that oh-so-important buffer for your mug's sharp angles. Square-faced honeys look best with graduated layers and those that are razored. You'll notice a big difference in the way your face looks when it is surrounded with fun and flirty layers. Layers are especially complementary when you have curly hair, as it helps your ringlets balance out the masculine shape of your face.
Length
Hair that falls just above or at the shoulders typically looks smokin' on ladies with square faces. This length gives you a soft contrast that hides your sharp edges. Short haircuts only accentuate your face's lines and not in the best light. However, no cut will live up to its potential unless it features layers around your face.
Part
A part can make or break a new cut. Fortunately for you, square faces look good with just about any part. Side parts blur those sharp edges and give you a sassy look. Center parts, however, also look good, especially when you've got some curls going on, as they mask those square lines. Experiment with your part, and pick whatever leaves you looking best.
