You're a fiery flame-haired female. Your hair color is already rad and rockin', but now you want a change and are in the mood for a new haircut. You need something sassy enough to hold up to your hot hair hue. Whether you were born with red hair or just recently dyed it, by choosing the right haircut you will accentuate your hot hair hue instead of taking away from it. From a shorter bob style to a lengthy-layered cut, there are many good haircuts for redheads.

Bob

A short bob haircut looks positively stunning with red hair. Ask your stylist for a bob cut that ends just below the nape of your neck, with soft layers around the sides. Flat iron over your hair when styling, then run some smoothing serum over your strands. Unless you have a round face to start with -- this can make your face look even smaller and rounder in that case -- a set of thick, straight-across bangs look really chic with a short bob cut. Your whole face is surrounded with those stunning red locks, not just the sides.

Pixie

A pixie cut is a really closely-cropped cut, one with more layers and texture than a bob cut. For an authentic pixie, get your red hair cut slightly longer on top with shorter, tapered sides and shortest over the back of your head. If you like the idea of sporting your red hair in a pixie-style cut, but want to keep a bit more length, opt for a shaggy pixie. It's cut the same way -- longer on top and shorter around the sides and back -- only you get a couple extra inches of length all around your head.

Medium-Length Layers

A medium-length layered cut gives you the best of both worlds; shorter strands that don't take forever to blow-dry and style, but you still have enough length to show off your ravishing red tresses and be able to put your hair up and try out lots of different hairstyles. Red hair looks divine styled straight and curly, and with a medium-length layered cut you have instant volume and can style your hair either way. Ask your stylist for choppy layers, including some at the front framing your face.

Long Layers

You love your red hair. You really, really love it. So why not keep as much as you can to show off? Keep the length in your hair but have lots of layers added in, from chin-level down to the ends of your hair. This keeps your hair from looking plain and dull, by creating lots of volume and dimension. You have a lot more styling options with longer locks than shorter, so this cut allows you the freedom to play around with your hair and style it in lots of different ways.
