There is more importance to choosing a haircut than copying the celeb you think looks best on the latest cover of your favorite magazine. When you're a professional gal who's got little time to spare, your main hair concern is finding a cut that is chic and work-appropriate, and also a really easy-to-style cut so you don't have to spend hours doing your 'do.

Pixie Cut

The pixie cut is one of the easiest cuts to style, so when you need a time-saving cut that's still uber-chic, this is one of your top choices. It's a super short cut that's tapered around the nape of your neck, and is literally wash-and-wear. Part your hair to one side to add volume, and smooth some hair gel or wax through your hair for a polished look.

Angled Bob

A tousled bob style is youthful but professional. Rather than being straight all the way across as with the traditional bob cut, for this style you want the back of your hair cut slightly shorter, with longer hair at the sides. Flat iron your hair straight before heading off to the office, or use a curling iron to make random, loose curls around your head.

Straight Bangs

Getting your hair cut with straight across bangs makes a statement, and is easy to style, while making you look oh-so-chic, perfect for the workplace. Go over your hair with a flat iron after blow drying for a sleek, professional style. Straight bangs work with short to long hair, so this style works no matter how long you prefer to keep the rest of your hair.

Long Layers

The long layered look works especially well on you women with rounder faces, to lengthen your face, making it look slimmer and enhancing your cheekbones. This is especially true if you add a side-swept fringe to your cut, which instantly adds glam and creates a fun, flirty look, while still keeping it completely work-appropriate.

Coiled Curls

If your hair is tightly curled, a professional look is to keep it quite short. It's OK to let your hair go loose, but you don't want a big mess of frizz that's only going to take away from your style. To define your curls, keeping your look professional and never sloppy, spray your locks with a leave-in conditioner after washing, and work a strong-hold gel through your hair from roots to ends to keep your hair manageable all day long. Use a deep conditioning treatment on your hair at least once a week to keep your curls soft and healthy.
