Stacey London was first spotted giving makeover master classes on TLC's "What Not To Wear." She was a standout celeb for her seemingly effortless fashion-sense, tell-it-like-it-is straight talk and sarcastic sense of humor. Now she is a spokeswoman for everything from Pantene to Dr. Scholl's. Stacey's get-noticed strategy includes a natural gray streak accenting a glossy raven mane, glowing, bronzed skin and sophisticated red lips. You can mimic Stacey's casually elegant hair and makeup in a few easy steps.
Get Stacey's signature hair: Her most notorious beauty blessing is a natural gray streak in otherwise dark tresses. The message? Flaunt what you've got. If your hair is wild and curly, let it go natural and be your trademark. If you've got freckles, let them out to play and stand out from the crowd of ordinary complexions.
Stacey uses Pantene products to keep her mane glossy (she swears by Pantene Pro-V Smooth and Shine Anti-Frizz Serum); she keeps her hair below shoulder length in a soft wave with a middle part. According to Celebrity Hairstyle Magazine.com, Stacy's hair is wavy on top, with thick, soft curls in a loose, rectangular style, brought forward on one shoulder and tossed behind the other. You can achieve the same look by using a wide-barreled (1 1/2-inch) curling iron on just the ends of blown-out or naturally-straight hair.
Create a warm, burnished complexion. Stacey always has a lightly bronzed face, during both summer and winter. You can create the same look by using a dewy finish tinted moisturizer or foundation, a cinnamon or sheer red cream blush, and then dusting cheeks, chin and forehead with a bronzer suited for your skin tone. Don't over do the bronzer; start light and build color with a second sweep. You want to look sun-kissed, not half-baked.
Groom your brows. Part of Stacey's super-polished look is her strong, groomed brows. Pluck sparingly, to create an elegant arch and then brush brows up and out with a clean eyebrow brush or clear brow gel. If your brows are light, you can use a taupe-colored brow gel to fill in and define your brows.
Create a dramatic eye. Miss London tends to do the same defined chocolate-brown shadow and liner look from day to night, adding a little more smokiness to glam things up at evening events. Use a medium-brown matte shadow over your lid from lashline to crease, blending well and then smudge a chocolate brown pencil liner along your upper and lower lashlines. Follow with two coats of black mascara. To transition this look into evening, re-line with a metallic bronze liner and add a little cream or gold highlight to your brow bone.
Get Stacey's glossy red lip. Stacey works a sheer glossy lip from day to night, adding just the right touch of glam. Her go-to gloss? Stacey confesses to using pal Carmindy's (makeup artist from "What Not to Wear") line of glosses, Sally Hansen Inspired by Carmindy; try Cherry Crush or Brandywine to re-create Stacey's red lip.
