The right haircut and styling can accentuate a woman’s features. Razor cuts and layers benefit women with prominent bone structures, including a pronounced jaw line. Hollywood A-listers like Selma Blair and Angelina Jolie flaunt their bone structure with everything from blunt bobs to long layers.

Tousled Pixie

Tousled pixies are youthful haircuts that can add help elongate the face. The classic cut features long layers at the crown and shorter lengths around the perimeter of the head. Keira Knightley is one celeb who has sported the cut, using the style’s volume to balance out the bottom of her face. You can achieve a similar style by adding a pea-size amount of pomade, and tousling your hair while you bend over.

Retro Bob

The bob is a look that dates back to the 1920s. Independent flappers flaunted boyish jaw-length cuts -- which help to bring the focus up toward the cheekbones, and away from a pronounced jaw. Actress Selma Blair embraced this style with a pin-straight bob cropped abruptly at the jaw line and a heavy bang to frame her face. She straightens her hair with a 1-inch flat iron.

Razored Tresses

Gwyneth Paltrow occasionally sports a grown-out bob with feathered layers to add softness at her jaw line. You can achieve this look by using a razoring technique, which thins out the ends of the hair. Then, add a quarter-size dollop of texturizing product to the tresses, before you curl your hair with a three-quarter-inch iron. Finger comb the curls to produce beach-hair waves.

Long Lovely Layers

If you want to keep your hair longer, follow the lead of style icons Salma Hayek and Cameron Diaz, who both opted for collar bone-grazing cuts. To rock this style, cut your bangs so they hit your cheekbone, and part them down the middle or swoop them off to one side. Similar to razoring, adding layers frames the facial features and softens the jawbone's angles. Style the locks by smoothing a quarter-size amount of styling serum through your hair, before flipping it out with 1-inch iron.
