So you've decided to forgo expensive salon visits to get your hair colored. Who needs a hair stylist when you can dye your hair at home, right? After applying the color and letting it sit, you hop in the shower to rinse it out. But when you're done, you find dark hair dye stains all over the tub. Well, don't panic. Yes, these stains look impossible to remove, but you can get them out with the right products. You'll be admiring that new hair color with no worries about those ugly stains in the tub in no time.

Rinse out the tub as best you can with plain water. Wait for all of the water to drain out of the tub so you can see exactly where the stains are located.

Sprinkle some bleach-based scouring powder, like Ajax or Comet, onto the stains. Scrub with a soft sponge (so you don't scratch the tub), then let the powder sit for about 30 minutes.

Go back and scrub again. Rinse the tub out with water.

If the stains are still there, grab the chlorine bleach. Fill the tub with enough water to cover the stains. Add the recommended amount of chlorine bleach according to the label's instructions. Leave the bleach water in the tub for about an hour. Put on some rubber glove (you must protect those beautiful hands from the drying effects of bleach) and scrub the stains away. If they are not coming off, let the bleach soak in the tub for a while long, then come back and scrub again. Once the stains are gone, drain the water and rinse out the tub with water.
