If you want to look drab, dull and boring, donning the wrong hair color is a good way to do so. But if you want to add a glow to your skin and look as radiant as possible, you'll need to turn your tresses into the appropriate shade. Chicks with cool skin tones have blue and pink tones in their skin that don't always look good with every hair color. But once your mane gets the right 'do, your appearance -- and confidence level -- will score major boosts.
Cool shades typically look stunning with icy colors. If you want to prove that blondes are more fun, go with a bright shade of the color. Very light and extreme blonde colors look the best on cool-toned gals, as they complement your skin's soft undertones. Ash blonde also typically complements your coloring. Golden tones aren't your friend, as they can make you look washed out and ruddy.
Brown hair colors that features ashy undertones typically flatter your skin tone the best. The cool tone complements your cool skin and won't interfere with your natural coloring. Donning auburn and other brassy colors don't do a thing for your complexion, and actually make you look worse, as they'll clash with your pink tones. Deep dark brown will create a sweet contrast to your skin and give you a definite glow.
When it comes to red hair, the cooler, the better. This means sticking with true reds and reds that have purple or blue tones. Forget orange-red or strawberry blonde; they'll only give you a washed-out look that gives your skin a sallow tone. Intense, dramatic shades not only make you stand out but also leave you looking stunning.
A cool-toned face with black hair is one of the most dramatic looks you can go for. Just be sure to choose the coolest black you can find. Mink tones in the color are seriously hot and contrast well with the cool shades in your skin. The deep color will also make your eyes stand out for the better.
