Diving for a fly ball may be the catch of the game but the inevitable grass stains left behind on those sport pants are a definite foul play. Typically made from tightly-woven synthetic polyester fibers, sport pants should never be washed in bleach, which can leave behind a yellowish hue on light fabrics. Instead, make tracks to the kitchen to whip up a simple stain blasting paste of sugar and water. Follow up with a spin in the clothes washer and you --- and your pants --- will be back in the game.

1.

Make a paste of 1/4 cup sugar and water.

2.

Apply sugar paste to stain and let sit for 1 hour. Do not scrub paste into fabric.

3.

Launder as usual. No need to rinse off the scrub prior to washing.

Things You'll Need
