You're all curled out. You've rocked every curly hairstyle from the long curly track extensions to the curly sue bob and even the curly pony tails. You're tired of curls and want to avoid them at all costs when you make your big chop. For a unique look, you're intrigued by the interesting look of spiky ends. However, the question remains about the type of style you can sport with short and spiky hair. There are a variety of hairstyles that can be sported with short and spiky hair. Now, you just have to chose one.

The Pixie Spikes

If you spiky hair is really short, rock it out in a messy pixie cut. Go for an edgy look with a spiky, flipped band while the other strands fall in different places that creates a disheveled, cute look. You can also wear your tresses sleek on the sides in a boyish-looking feminine cut that's tousled in the middle to form a short updo with your spikes facing upward. Wearing your short, spiky strands in layers all going downward over your entire head to form a mushroom look is also haute.

The Faux Mohawk

This style is perfect for spiky hair and it's limited by your short length. Use texturizing gel to keep your hair intact as you comb it up in a mohawk shape with your spiky ends going straight up. Make sure the gel is on the ends as well so you can keep the shape of the mohawk.

The Spiked-Out Bob

Go rockstar wild with a spiked-out bob. This is great for short-length cuts that fall at least to your ears. Instead of wearing curls all over, you can have your ends spiked out with texturizing gel all over. You can even leave the front of your hair straight and flat while the back and side tresses are spiky.

The Ultimate Spiky Bang

Forget long side-swept bangs and go for the ultimate spiky bang. Start from the back and comb all of your hair toward the middle with a wide-tooth comb to keep the messy look. Brush your sides going forward with gel. Your hair will create an illusion of a long bang with spikes. Curve and curl it as you please, and keep it intact with spray or gel.
