Long pants are all the rage these days with celebs donning super-long flared jeans, or jumpers with floor-length legs. Of course, it's not just red carpet vixens that can pull these off. You can too! Your shoes, however, are the key to pulling off your ensemble, so choose wisely! Whether you need extra height, or just want to elongate those legs, you've got lots of shoe options that will expertly complement your long pants.
For cooler weather, you have total freedom to rock your boots under your long pants. Try ankle booties or even calf-length boots. Make sure to choose a pair with some height, which will give the illusion of a longer leg. Nobody will know you're getting some help!
Pumps or Platform Pumps
Pumps and platform pumps are ever-so-fabulous and will give you the boost you may need with long pants. According to "O" Magazine, even if you're petite, you can still pull off long pants like wide-leg jeans or slacks, as long as the "volume is balanced by heels." If your pants are extra long, like numerous inches past your natural inseam, you'll have no problem pulling off your super-high stilettos or other mega-heels. That's when platform pumps come in handy. They'll give you the height, but not the discomfort, you'd get with basic heels. Work those spikes!
Sandals look amazing under a pair of long pants. With an adorable spring or summer outfit, you can show off your strappy duds or your chunky wedges and snag that retro vibe under a pair of flares or wide-legs. You can take those clubbin' sandals too and create a fabulous outfit around your long pants.
If your long pants aren't dragging on the ground when you're barefoot, then you can totally slip on your quick and easy flats, whether they're sandals or ballet, peep-toe or pointy. This is a fab option if you don't want to add extra height, but only works if your pants don't exceed the length of those sexy gams. You don't want to drown your legs!
