Having a boyish figure gives you plenty of fashion options. After all, you can wear tons of clothing styles that your more curvaceous counterparts could never handle. Yet, your lack of curves may cause you to long for some va-va-voom. Lucky you. Your straight figure can easily take on the illusion of dangerous curves. It's all in how you dress.

Top it Off

Select V-neck tops to make the most of your cleavage. Drop-waist tops also add femininity to boyish figures. Knot a button-up shirt at the waist in the absence of a wide belt. Look for blouses with ruffles, embroidery, ruching or pleats at the neck or the bust. Pair all tops with a padded or push-up bra to make the most of what you have.

Your Bottom Half

Go for heavier fabrics -- weather and current style permitting -- such as corduroy, tweed or wool to add weight to your slim figure. Try pleated pants for added curves if you're tall with a flat tummy. Otherwise, stay with a flat front trouser. For casual dress, slip into a pair of low-rise jeans with decorated pockets or a pair of distressed jeans to add some depth to your figure. Pair low-waisted, wide legged slacks with a heel for a fashionable and feminine look. Work skirts to your advantage. Try a tulip skirt to emphasize your bottom half. Tall ladies can pair a cardigan -- push up the sleeves -- and a full skirt for a curvy look. For a different look, anyone can marry a form-fitting top with a full skirt and a wide belt.

Dress Up

Skip solids and go for prints that have depth. Think classic colors accented with blocks, flowers or other graphics. Go for an empire waist cut to give the illusion of a rounder, fuller figure. Or look for frocks with full skirts -- think A-line -- to add feminine curves to your physique.

Clever Accessorizing and Other Tricks

Mix textures to add interest to your outfit and your shape. Try combos such as cotton and wool, or lace and velvet. Sling a dark-colored wide belt loosely around your waist to give the illusion of a more womanly shape. Fasten a statement necklace around your neck to give your upper half some extra oomph. Look for clothing pieces with feminine embellishments, such as ruffles, peplums and poufy parts, to give definition to a straight physique.
