Simple hairstyles are great most of the time, but sometimes you want to up the fab factor with a glamorous style. If you're looking to make your 'do a little more fancy, you definitely have options. From updos to fantastic, spiffy down 'dos, there's a glam style out there for everyone.

Big Bouncy Curls

Big, full, old-Hollywood curls are a perfect go-to for a fancier event. To get the look, spray damp locks with a volumizing spray. Then blow dry with a round brush. Now, wrap large sections of hair around a large-barrel curling iron, wrapping them about half way up the hair while holding your iron vertically. Add a little bit of shine serum to curled hair and finish off with a mist of hairspray for hold.

High Top-Knot

Make a statement and wear your hair in a high bun at the crown of the head. Wear your hair in a more elegant, slicked up ballerina bun or keep it intentionally messy. Both looks are perfectly on trend and look fantastic. To go more sleek, simply pull hair into a tight, high ponytail, twist hair until it forms a bun and bobby pin it in place. For a looser look, do the same thing, just pull hair into a loose ponytail and loosely twist it.

Embellishments

A simple way to instantly make your hair more fancy is to add a glam embellishment. Try a sparkly barrette or comb. The best thing about embellishments is that you can wear them on simple, straight locks, or with curly styles and even updos. So, if you don't have a lot of time, just add a sparkly accessory.

Add a Bow

Add a bow...or rather, turn your hair into a bow. Sound strange? It's actually possible to whip your locks into a pretty and totally elegant bow. This incredibly cute 'do is sure to get you noticed. To get the look, start by flat ironing your hair. Then add a generous amount of hair spray. Pull hair into a low ponytail and divide it into three equal sections. Pin the middle section out of the way for the time being. Then fold the left section under into a loop. Pin it in place with bobby pins. Repeat with the right side. Then, just take your middle section and fold it down the middle of your ponytail and loop it under, pinning it in place.
