Oily skin can be a blessing in disguise, helping you tan more easily and making your complexion and foundation look fresh longer. But just because your skin is oily doesn't mean you'll avoid wrinkles and other signs of aging and sun damage. An anti-aging foundation suitable for oily skin that helps firm up your skin will preserve your youthful glow and fight off those fine lines for a flawless look.

Boots Lifting & Firming Foundation

Lisa Eldridge has worked with many top fashion photographers and clients such as Cameron Diaz, Kate Moss, Cate Blanchett and Selma Hayek. One of her favorite foundations is Boots No 7 Lifting and Firming Foundation SPF 15, available in eight shades that help skin look and feel instantly lifted while minimizing pores and imperfections. Cosmetics expert Paula Begoun, creator of Beautipedia, also gave the foundation a favorable review, adding that it's best for normal to oily skin seeking medium coverage. But Begoun also pointed out that firming foundations aren't the same as an actual surgical facelift, although they can help brighten skin and give the illusion of a lifted face.

Chanel Lift Lumiere Firming and Smoothing Fluid Makeup

Chanel's Lift Lumiere Firming and Smoothing Fluid Makeup SPF 15 was used by make-up artist Cathy Highland on Helena Bonham Carter for the 83rd Annual Academy Awards, and is also used by artist Richard Dean for actress Julia Roberts and by Daniel Phillips on actress Keira Knightley. The foundation uses what Chanel calls Soft Crystal Lumiere complex to visibly diminish the look of wrinkles and fine lines. Paula Begoun adds that it provides an attractive satin matte finish that's suitable for slightly oily skin and definitely creates the illusion of a smooth, even-toned complexion.

Clarins Extra-Firming Foundation

Clarins Extra-Firming Foundation SPF15 uses oat sugar and plantain extracts as skin firming and age-fighting ingredients. The nine shades all contain a "light optimizing complex," claiming to offer an illuminating effect on skin that's essentially a featherweight liquid formula with light-diffusing particles. Makeup expert Antonella Renyer used this foundation on actress Jennifer Love Hewitt for the "Ghost Whisperer." Sujata Assomull, Beauty Editor for "Verve" magazine, adds that Clarins is a good choice for your flirty 30s, when many women are balancing career with motherhood and the first signs of aging begin to show.

Revlon Age Defying Foundation

Cosmetics heavyweight company Revlon created Age Defying Makeup with Botafirm SPF 20 in two formulas, one for dry skin and the other for normal to oily skin. "Botafirm" is a trademarked formula the company claims will firm your skin and drastically reduce any visible lines on your face. Paula Begoun reviewed the foundation in the Beautipedia and gave it high marks for its sun protection and seamless medium coverage that won't feel like a mask on your face. Plus, there are 12 shades ranging from fresh ivory to rich tan, and unlike the other foundations, you can find this one in your local drugstore at a reasonable price.
