Almond powder, honey and coconut milk might sound more like ingredients found in ice cream or a pie than something you’d put on your face, but the combination is good for your skin. Whether you are buying a premade face pack, getting a spa treatment or making your own, these natural ingredients work as a team to keep your face looking its best.
Almond powder, honey and coconut milk face packs help to hydrate your skin and provide essential moisture so you look radiant and healthy. Almond gently exfoliates the skin and is high in fatty acids -- not the kind that will give you a beer belly -- that make your skin look plump and supple. Honey is a mild antiseptic, which can help to clear blackheads and blemishes, and coconut milk is natural, fast-acting moisturizer that can help to repair dry skin.
Normal skin sounds, well, pretty normal. But normal skin can be pretty tough to take care of. Using the wrong product can turn your skin dry or oily as a bag of fast food french fries. Normal skin that isn’t too dry or too oily can still benefit from an almond powder, honey and coconut milk face pack, though you won’t want to use it too often or your skin might become a bit too oily. If you’ve got normal skin, apply the face pack twice a week. If you notice your skin getting a bit too oily, reduce the use of the face pack to once a week.
Dry skin can reap the most benefits from regular use of an almond powder, honey and coconut milk face pack since your skin needs moisture. Apply the face pack three times a week to start. If you notice your skin being a bit too dry, try decreasing the honey content, especially if you don’t have a problem with pimples and blemishes.
If you’ve got oily skin, your skin still needs moisture, but it needs the sort of moisture that won't leave oil slicks on your face. Along with your regular moisturizer, try using the almond powder, honey and coconut milk face pack once a week. If you don’t see any benefits after a few weeks, try increasing the amount of honey.
Combination skin can be difficult to deal with since you’ve got dry patches and oily patches. You can still use an almond powder, honey and coconut milk face though; you just have to decide how it will work best for you. You can try applying it to your whole face about once a week along with your regular moisturizer, or you can put it on the dry spots two or three times a week and avoid the oily spots except once a week. Try different combinations to determine what works best for your skin.
