With a beautifully sumptuous olive skin tone you are likely to have darker eyes and lashes. This means that, while you can get away with less makeup, you can also wear the most intense eye makeup. Color and bold shapes are your friends; don't hide from fierce eyeshadows and liners like fairer-skinned ladies. Eye makeup should enhance and brighten your eyes to give you a flirtatious glimpse that can stop traffic and start hearts.
Dark Colors
An olive complexon can wear dark eye makeup very well. Deep mossy greens, electric blues and mauve purples will all compliment and enhance your eyes. These shades draw attention to your eyes and enlarge them. They will also brighten your face and complexion, creating a bright and sparkly contrast. The dark shades add depth to your eyes and make for an ideal party, club or bar look. Try smudging the makeup to create a wide-eyed finish.
Strong Lines
Strong lines add definition to your eyes, but they also allow you to have definition that lighter skin cannot carry off without looking washed out. Fully lined eyes will look smokey and sexy on you. Try lining your entire eye line and smudge the edges to create a smokey eye. If you want a cleaner look, go for the legendary and fabulous eye flick. Carry your eyeliner pencil off of your eyelid and extend it past the corner of your eye for an Egyptian-inspired hint of glamour.
Metallics
Metallics will work well for your shimmery skin. Gold is your natural metallic shade because you already have golden undertones. This will create a complementary color combination. A gold metallic eye shadow will give you a glamorous and exciting party look. Try wearing gold eye shadow in the corners of your eye for a fashion-forward edgy look. Bronze will work in a similar way to gold but have a slightly deeper edge. Silver will contrast your undertones and create a cooler color mix. Try wearing silver on your bottom eye lid to create a strong futuristic vibe with your eye makeup.
Naturally Fresh
If you want a glow for your Sunday lunch, or a commanding yet professional look for the board room and office, a naturally fresh dewy nude look is ideal. Keep your eye makeup skin-toned. Use skin-colored eye shadow and neutral browns and tans. Use highlighter makeup such as YSL's Touche Eclat to give your face a subtle yet chic finish. Keep mascara and eyeliner to a minimum.
