No one wants a face riddled with blackheads. To get rid of them, and to make your skin look radiant, exfoliate. A simple oatmeal scrub will remove the dead skin cells and dirt that clog your pores and cause blackheads and pimples. And you don't need to head for the drugstore for this exfoliant; you may have the ingredients right now in your own kitchen.
1.
Grab a large bowl and your ingredients and head to your bathroom.
2.
Measure out 2 tbsp.of oatmeal and dump it into the bowl. Make a slight cut in the top of the grapefruit and squeeze the juice and pulp into the bowl. You may need to put your back into it a bit; grapefruits can be hard to pulp-erize!
3.
Stir the mixture until it becomes pasty. The smell should start to liven up your bathroom. Pay attention to the consistency of the paste. If the paste is a bit runny, add some more oatmeal; if it is too stiff, squeeze in some more grapefruit juice.
4.
Scoop some of the scrub out of the bowl with the tips of your fingers and apply it to your face, gently scrubbing your face in a circular motion. Make sure you get your nose; blackheads love noses! Continue working the scrub into your face for approximately two minutes.
5.
Rinse your face with lukewarm water, and then splash it with a little cold water to close your pores. Dab the water off your face with a towel, and then rub a little astringent or toner on your face to cleanse it. Complete your beauty treatment by moisturizing your skin.
