You wake up with a nasty pimple or dull, dry skin, but there is no time to go to the drugstore. You might have some quick fixes in your home. Get your honey, and no I don't mean your significant other! Grab some honey from your pantry and milk from your refrigerator to make a homemade mask.

Why Natural?

It seems like everything is going organic these days, from food to beauty products. Your face is the first thing people notice about you. We have all heard the saying, "put your best foot forward." In today's society the saying should be: "put your best face forward." Natural ingredients are so much better for your skin, less harsh and more gentle.

Why Honey and Milk?

Honey and milk masks are suited best for dry or sensitive skin because they heal, soothe, soften and moisturize your skin. These masks have been used for thousands of years; before there were drugstores our ancestors took matters into their own hands. Honey cleans, but also acts as a natural humectant, meaning it attracts moisture, and keeps it where it belongs --- under your skin. The milk soothes but also cleans.

Get Cooking!

You need one tsp. honey and one tbsp. whole milk. Measure the honey and place it in a bowl. Heat up the honey in the microwave for 15 seconds. You want the honey to be warm and a bit runny, but not to hot so it won't burn your gorgeous face. Mix the milk with the honey until blended.

Mask on Mask off

Now it's time to put the mask on your face. Using your fingertips massage the honey and milk mask on your face in a circular motion. This will wake up your tired face. Leave the mask on for five minutes. Wash the mask off with cold water, and pat your face dry with washcloth. Your face should now look as sweet as honey.
