The lip? Of all places to get a pimple! But it's true; you can get a pimple on your lip or anywhere else on your body that contains pores. Even a diva is not exempt from getting pimples in the strangest of places. Pimples are the result of clogged pores, which trap oils under the skin. As pressure builds, pain usually develops. Eating, talking, even slathering on your favorite lip glaze can be a nightmare if you have a lip pimple. You need to find a way to ease the pain.

1.

Run a cotton washcloth under warm water. Wring out the washcloth and rest it on the lip pimple. The warmth of the washcloth will encourage the pimple to come to a head and offer a bit of pain relief at the same time. Don't rush the process! Sit back, relax and enjoy the warmth.

2.

Continue to apply the warm compress until you see a white dot at the top of the lip pimple. This means it has come to a head. With clean fingertips -- not nails -- apply very, very gentle pressure to the skin around the lip pimple. Keep pressing the skin until the pimple pops. Yuck!

3.

Dab some benzoyl peroxide onto what remains of the pimple using a cotton ball. You may feel some relief by this time since most of the pressure that has been causing the pain is gone. But if you don't ...

4.

Fold an uncoated aspirin up in a tissue. Hit the tissue several times with a spoon to crush the aspirin. Pour the crushed aspirin into a paper cup and add a drop of water. Stir the aspirin and water with a spoon to make a paste. Dab the paste onto the lip pimple with your clean finger. Leave the aspirin paste on your lip pimple for five minutes before washing it away with warm water. The anti-inflammatory and pain relieving properties of the aspirin will help. Ahh -- sweet relief!

Things You'll Need

1.Cotton washcloth

3.Cotton ball

5.Tissue

7.Spoon

2.Benzoyl peroxide

4.Uncoated aspirin

6.Paper cup

Tips & Tricks

Apply the benzoyl peroxide several times a day until the lip pimple dries up completely. Continue to apply the aspirin one to two times a day until lip pain subsides.

If the pimple doesn't come to a head (meaning that it forms a white dot on top) keep applying warm compresses until it does. Do not try to pop the pimple before this time. Also -- never, ever use your nails or any type of sharp object to pop your pimple. Only use the pads of your fingertips! Anything else may leave a nasty scar and the lip is the last place a girl needs one.
