You've probably wondered what to do with that chunky, oversized sweater you have no idea how to wear. A number of fashion lovers are revamping their old sweaters into funky, fashion-forward sweater dress looks. The key to reworking your oversized sweater is creating a more flattering silhouette and adding the right accessories.
Define your waist in your oversized sweater using your waist belt. A skinny belt will work for a more casual look. If you want a more embellished look for a plainer sweater, try a chunky waist belt with a thick buckle.
Dress up your oversized sweater by adding wet-look leggings or, better yet, footless hose. Footless hose or normal hose will create a more dressy look suitable for an evening event. You may even want to pair the sweater with a dark pair of smart, skinny jeans. This slim-fitted look works well because it plays up the sweater and makes room for high heels. Select jeans if your jumper is short and wide. If your jumper is long, go for leggings or footless hose.
Go for heels that add length to your legs; platforms are the best at this. Very high heels will definitely dress up your sweater. A black patent pair will bring off the wet-look leggings and add a touch of glamour. If you want a more edgy look, ankle boots are a good choice. A sharp suede or leather ankle boot will add a smart funky finish.
Select large chandelier earrings to really dress up your sweater. Large chandelier earrings will enhance your look by adding fabulous glamour and Hollywood sass. Avoid other jewelry unless your jumper is plain; then add a nice pendant to jazz up your sweater.
Finish off your outfit with a nice sleek clutch. A metallic or bright-colored clutch will inject some excitement. A gold clutch will work with gold jewelry, or a silver clutch goes with silver accessories. Grab your clutch and head out on the town.
