Combine ¼ cup beet powder, ¼ cup roughly chopped strawberries and ½ tsp. olive oil in a blender. Pulse until the mixture is smooth with a thick consistency.
Scoop out the puree into a small, airtight plastic jar. You can find these at most beauty supply stores, and sometimes even big-box retail stores. This is the container in which you'll keep your blush. Replace the cap tightly after each use; creating an airtight seal will prolong the life of your cream blush.
Dip your fingertips into the blush and gently dab it on the apples of your cheeks. For a more diffused, natural finish, dip your blush brush into the blush and sweep it onto your cheeks from temples to apples.
If you already have a cream blush, but want to tweak the color to suit your skin tone or makeup look, do it with lipstick. Use a disposable plastic cosmetic spatula -- or a butter knife, in a pinch -- to shave a tiny bit off the top of your fave shade of lipstick. Scoop a nickel-sized amount of cream blush onto the back of your hand, and mix the lipstick in, using the paddle. Mix thoroughly. When the two products are completely blended, use your fingertips to dab your new custom cream blush onto the apples of your cheeks.
If you're on-the-go and need a quick hit of blush, just pull out your lipstick tube! Gently rub your fingertip on the top of the 'stick, and dab it on the apples of your cheeks. Instant cream blush!
