Solid shirts don't have to be boring. Sure, they seem like a basic piece, but sometimes basic pieces are the best ones. Because your shirt is solid, you can transform it into tons of different looks. That means you'll get great mileage out of your shirt and have lots of fun whipping it into a bunch of fashionable styles.
Add Some Glam
Try your solid shirt with a sparkly embellished jacket. Whether you want to go full on sparkle or try something with more subtle embellishments, your look is still fab. A sequined jacket is the perfect topper for a simple T-shirt. If you want to go a bit more edgy, try a studded blazer for a look that screams rocker chic. Add a pair of skinny jeans and a heel, and you're all set.
With a Suit
Wear your shirt to work by pairing it with trousers and a blazer. If you don't want to go with a boring suited look, try working in separates. There's no reason that your pants and jacket have to come from the same suit set. Try mixing colors. A neutral colored pant looks cute with a colorful jacket. Or, if you work somewhere more conservative, try pairing shades like khaki and navy.
With a Mini Skirt
If you want to go sexy, try a mini skirt. You can take this look tons of different ways. If you have a brightly colored solid shirt, try color blocking your look by pairing it with a skirt in a complementary shade. Take it further by switching up the color of your shoes with another complementary shade. Solid shirts also look fab with printed minis.
Other Skirts
If you want to be dressy but don't want to show off too much, try a fuller skirt. Full skirts can come super short or they can come much longer. From maxi skirts to midi skirts, which hit somewhere in between a short skirt and a maxi skirt, you've got tons of options. Try tucking in your top and belting it to show off your waist. Then add a heel or ballet flat if you want to be more comfy.
