The new year is time for a new start. So why not ring it in with a fantastic new look? There's no reason your resolution to have fab hair can't start a few hours early, so instead of wearing your hair like you usually do, try a cute style that's perfect for your next New Year's Eve party.
Glamorous Waves
Short on time leading up to your New Year's Eve fete? Try this easy trick. Spray damp tresses with a texturizing spray and twist them into a chignon. Leave your hair in the bun all day so it dries. Then, at night before your party, take your bun out. Your hair will fall into glamorous, gorgeous waves.
Flirty Ponytail
Make your ponytail fun and perfect for a night out. Start by curling hair in sections with a medium- or large-barrel iron depending on the length of your hair. If you don't want to wear curls, flat iron your hair straight as another option. Tease your hair slightly at the crown of the head and mist it with hair spray. Then pull your hair into a high ponytail, securing it with an elastic band. Take a section of hair and wrap it around the band to cover it and pin it in place under your ponytail with a bobby pin.
Chic Top-Knot
How about a trendy top-knot to switch things up? This works for a more casual NYE night or for something a bit more fancy. Just mist hair with a glossing serum and pull it into a ponytail at the crown of your head. Twist it into a big, loose bun and pin it in place with bobby pins. If you want to decorate your bun, slip on a thin headband.
Sparkling Tresses
Whether you're wearing your hair curly or straight or in an up or down 'do, New Year's Eve is the perfect opportunity to let your hair really shine with an embellished accessory. Try jeweled barrettes and bobby pins to spice up your look. Pin yours to the side of your updo, or, if you're wearing your hair down, use a barrette to push one side of your locks back.
