Elastic headbands are a fantastic way to keep hair out of your face, especially if you have pesky bangs you're trying to grow out. These hair accessories aren't just for functionality: you can also use them to make your tresses look fab. Learn a few cool styles that work perfectly with your elastic headband.
Wear your headband to accent a bun. Try a bun that's a bit messy to make this look really chic. Start by teasing your hair at the crown of your head slightly before pulling it into a loose ponytail. Twist your ponytail until it forms a bun and pin it in place with a few bobby pins. Then, pull your elastic headband on to the crown of the head. Create a cool Grecian effect by wearing two headbands instead of one. Wear them separated by about an inch.
Super Straight Locks
Styling your elastic band doesn't always have to be rocket science. Opt for a simple but totally chic look and wear yours with straight, blown-out tresses. Just use a blow dryer and a round brush to dry damp locks. If you hair is a little on the frizzy side, use a flat iron to press it out after drying. Then, pull your headband back on the head and you're all set.
Spice up your ponytail with an elastic headband. Try working a curly side ponytail. Curl hair in sections with a large or medium barrel iron depending on the length of your hair. Then, pull your hair to the side and tie it into a ponytail. If you don't want a literal ponytail, use bobby pins to clip your hair to the side instead. Then, pull your elastic band back to the crown of the head. If you're trying to look really glam, find an embellished elastic headband instead.
Instead of wearing your band pulled back on your head, try wearing it horizontally so it crosses the front of your forehead instead. This look is totally modern Bohemian and is a fun way to spice up your look. Wear yours with straight or curly locks. It'll also work with your ponytail.
