Don't just pull your hair back into a ponytail. Get creative and do something more interesting with your tresses. Instead of going with a basic style, work your hair into a cute, fashionable pulled-back look that will be sure to have heads turning in your direction.
Instead of working a polished chignon, make it a little messy. Intentionally messy styles are incredibly chic and perfectly on trend. To make your bun messy, try curling it first and pinning it loosely into a chignon. If a few stray pieces hang free, don't worry -- it'll add to the mess factor. If you really want to go the extra mile, tease hair to create a big, voluminous messy bun.
Actress Kate Beckinsale rocked this style. It's a fun take on the ponytail. Her hair was pulled into a high pony, which was then split into two sections. The first section was twisted into a loose bun. The second section was twisted the same way, tucked under the first and pinned into place. Chic, stylish, easy, done!
Upside Down French Twist
Wear your French twist in an inverted style. To do it, you'll twist about three quarters of the hair down, rolling it toward the center of the head, letting the remaining section of the hair hang loose. Take your loose hanging hair, twist it around and pin it into place. If you have bangs, feel free to let them hang loose. It's a fab way to frame the face.
Get fantastic lift and volume with this amped-up version of the braid. To start, you'll need to soak towel-dried hair in texturizer to create more body. Roll hair in small Velcro rollers and blow dry it. Remove your curlers, then take a section of the hair at the crown of your head and tease it. Brush it back to smooth it down and pull hair to the side, loosely braiding it and tying it at the end with an elastic band.
