Ponytails might seem regular, but these days they're anything but. If you're tired of your old pony, switch up your look and whip your coif into a ponytail style that's cute and sporty. Don't feel like you have to get on a field or a court to make these looks work. They're just as fab for everyday use and make for the perfect topper for any look.

Slicked-Back Ponytail

Try wearing your locks slicked back and a little wet ... or at least wet-looking. This is a fab way to quickly style your hair when you don't have time to dry it. Just add a dollop of mousse to your wet locks and incorporate it thoroughly. Then, brush hair back to a ponytail at the nape of the neck. If you want to keep your wet look all day, add a bit of gel to the crown of your head that'll leave your hair still glistening once it's dry.

Sectioned-Off Ponytail

This ponytail is functional and fashionable. If you are, in fact, playing a sport, it'll stay in place while still looking incredibly cute. This one involves making three ponytails. Start by making a small ponytail using the hair at the crown of your head. Now, make a ponytail at the back of the head, incorporating your first ponytail in. Finish off by tying a pony at the nape of the neck. Then, take a section of hair from underneath each pony and wrap it around the base of your ponytail, bobby pinning it in place underneath.

Braided Ponytail

To get this look, start by creating a deep side part. Then take a 3-inch-wide piece of hair at the hairline at your part and cornrow it down to a little past your ear. Pull hair into a side ponytail at the nape of the neck and as with your sectioned pony, wrap a piece of hair around the base of the ponytail and secure with bobby pins.

Another Braided Ponytail

Try this simpler braided ponytail on for size. Just brush hair gently into a high ponytail and secure with an elastic band. Don't make your ponytail too tight. Then, take hair and loosely braid it down, securing at the bottom with another elastic band. This look is a simple way to add a little fun texture to your look without spending a lot of time.
