Sweater boots keep your feet warm and cozy in the cold weather, but they're also a cute addition to most outfits. A variety of shades are available, from the expected black, tan and brown to flannel, polka-dot and cheetah. Try them on with your favorite shirt, because almost no combination of tops and sweater boots looks bad.
Rock a super-long sweater in the same color as your favorite sweater boot. Look for something that hits above your knees, but far enough below your thighs that you could wear it to the mall without raising too many eyebrows. Slip into a pair of bright leggings and hop into your sweater boots. Don't choose leggings the same color as your boots and sweater. Instead, look for a bit of contrast -- white leggings with a brown sweater and boots or red tights with a white sweater and boots.
A comfy cardigan works with a pair of sweater boots. Pull it on over your favorite slip dress and go crazy with color. The cardigan definitely doesn't have to match your sweater boots. Try choosing a dress that matches, and then adding a flash of color with the cardigan. If the sweater boots have buttons or extras, try matching those to the buttons on the cardigan.
A long-sleeved shirt -- or even one with 3/4 sleeves -- looks great when you match the color of the shirt to your sweater boots. Short-sleeved shirts and tank tops look a little silly with sweater boots, because you're dressing for two kinds of weather. Match the sweater boots to the color of the shirt to pull off the perfect look. The top and bottom of your outfit will pull together to make you look put together.
Don't get hung up on shades and tones. Even though a matched set looks flawless, try having some fun with a clash of colors. Purple sweater boots with a brown button-down and jeans look great if you're a brunette. Go crazy with a red button-down shirt, white sweater boots and a pink skirt for Valentine's Day. Try patterned sweater boots with a cute jacket in a totally different color or pattern. As long as you like the look, you'll be totally pulling it off.
