Twiggy sported this style in the '60s and it’s still a sexy option when you want a short hairstyle. The pixie cut with its short layers in back can have a softer effect if you combine it with longer hair in front. Cute pixie do’s with a sideswipe in front can be just the sweet and sassy look for you.

Pretty Waves

Let natural curls and waves go free with a pixie style that looks casual and comfy. Add a little styling mousse to wet hair and arrange your curls just so with your fingers. After a quick air-dry -- another perk of the pixie -- do one more quick check before you call it “done.” Pull a few curls down onto your forehead to soften the look just a smidgen and then spritz the do with a bit of hair spray to hold it tight.

Side-Swept Bang

By pulling a smooth and silky side-swept fringe over your forehead, you create a pretty asymmetrical effect with the pixie cut. Add some styling cream to damp hair and blow-dry lightly with a vented brush to make your tresses sleek. Arrange your hair carefully after it dries, tucking side wisps behind your ears and the fringe over your forehead. A spritz or two of light finishing spray and you’re good to go.

Slicked in Style

With a deep side part and plenty of product for control, this slicked-back pixie can rock any formal affair. Spray your damp hair generously with styling spray and make a part on either side. Comb your pixie into a sleek and edgy do, directing your hair back away from your face to make it neat. Go ahead and make pretty curls at the nape of your neck by twisting your locks around your fingers until they stay tight. Add a jeweled clip to hold back your slicked hair for pretty bling that finishes the style.

Pompadour Prettiness

A little root lifting spray and a blow dryer will help you create volume and lift in your pixie. Spritz on the root-lifting product to your roots at the top of your head and grab the vented brush and blow dryer. Pull your hair straight up with the brush and direct the heat of the dryer along the entire length of the hair to inject major energy and volume. When you finish drying, finger-style lightly by pulling your hair straight up. As you pull it up, spritz it with a firm-hold hair spray. Keep working until you’ve got the signature pompadour lift going over the top of your head.
