Just because you're heading to watch a basketball game -- whether you're checking out a friend's game or are lucky enough to have season tickets at the local sports center -- that doesn't mean you have to dress like you just got out of bed. Sure, it's a sporting event and one concern is being comfortable, but you can be comfy and stay cute at the same time.

Jersey and Jeans

If you really want to show your love for your favorite team, you can throw on a jersey. You won't look like you're part of the team if you wear it with a pair of dark-wash skinny jeans. The dark wash elongates your legs, making them look long and lean, while the tight fit of the jeans hugs your curves so there's definitely no mistaking them for those loose-fitting jersey shorts. Chic and a true fan at the same time -- awesome.

Tunic and Leggings

Pairing a tunic top with leggings is an uber-comfy yet chic look to wear to a basketball game. It shows you put some effort into your look but you're not overdoing it or trying too hard. Tunic tops work well on all body types, just don't opt for too long a top if you're shorter to start with, to avoid losing yourself in your clothes.

Tank and Skinnies

A tank top or blouse with a pair of skinny jeans is an ideal look for a basketball game. Sitting up in the stands doesn't make for a very easy position if you're wearing a mini dress or shorts, but jeans and a tank or blouse is suitable, comfortable and one of the favorite looks for stars who attend the games. Think Beyonce or Tyra Banks as the perfect example of how to rock this look. You can finish your look with a pair of sneaks or go girly and glam with a sky-high pair of heels. Hey, you'll be sitting down the whole time anyway, so put your highest heels to good use without doing any harm to your little tootsies.

Dress and Tights

If you can't help but be uber-feminine, don't think a dress is totally out of the question, even though you are going to a sporting event. Just skip on the uber-frilly, ball-gown-style dress, OK? Opt for a more casual dress and pair it with tights and some knee-high boots to keep it pretty and flirty, but still casual enough that you don't look out of place.
