If you’ve been blessed with thick hair, you're probably the envy of all of your girlfriends. Gals with thick locks and lots of layers have one of the best hair textures when it comes to shaking things up with a cute new ‘do. It’s easy to take that gorgeous hair for granted and find yourself stuck in a style rut. Break out of your usual routine and rock a cute, new look in an instant, without stepping near the scissors.

Messy Topknot

Pile your thick, layered tresses into a chic topknot for a ‘do that takes a matter of minutes to style. This look works better on hair that hasn't been washed for a day or two, so don’t reach for the shampoo beforehand. Pull your locks into a high ponytail and secure it with a hair tie. Loosely twist the ponytail around the base to form a bun. Pin the bun into position and manipulate it with your fingers, pulling out wispy strands to create a messy topknot. The layers in your hair will give this look a fun and flirty finish.

Curly Ponytail

Don’t be fooled into thinking a ponytail will only do on unwashed hair days. Wear your ponytail sky-high or low over one shoulder to match your mood or outfit. Flip out your layers or add bouncy curls using your curling iron to keep things fresh and feminine. Finish with a spritz of shine-enhancing hair spray and let your thick tresses take center stage.

Chic Chignon

The chignon will take you from day to nighttime activities and the good news is it’s quick and easy to style. Pull your hair into a ponytail at the nape of your neck and secure it with a hair tie. Add a touch of shine serum before twisting the ponytail into a neat, chic bun. Secure the chignon in position using bobby pins to ensure that your shorter layers do not come loose. Pump up the glamor and add a sparkly hair slide to really draw attention to your gorgeous ‘do.

Braided Hair Band

Keep things casual and boho with a simple braided hair band. Take a 2-inch section of hair from behind one ear and plait it, adding those small face-framing layers into the braid as you go. Bring the braid across the top of your head to the opposite ear. Use a bobby pin to secure it into position. Do the same on the left side. Stars including Lauren Conrad and Nicole Richie have made the braided hair band look a must-have when it comes to off-duty chic.
