Girls with curly hair sometimes find it hard to make their hair glam while still keeping those fab curls. If you fall into this category, don't fret. There are tons of fantastic, totally chic curly hairstyles that are totally dressy and glamorous. Learn how to work your curly locks into an elegant style and be the belle of the ball.
Curly Chignon
To get a pretty, curly bun, start by washing your hair. Don't towel dry. Instead, add moisturizing curl cream and dry your hair with a diffuser, scrunching hair at the roots. Pull your hair into a ponytail and secure it tightly with an elastic tie. On your last tie, secure the ends of your hair into the tie so that you create a bun. Make it fancier with an embellished barrette or hair pin and you're ready to go.
Wavy Faux Bob
Channel old-school Hollywood glam with a wavy faux bob. Apply a drop of serum to hair to smooth it. Part hair horizontally from ear to ear. Secure the top section with a clip. Take 2-inch sections of the hair in the bottom section and fold them over themselves, pulling them up against your head and securing them with bobby pins. Unclip the top of the hair. If it's layered, let it hang down and cover the pinned portion. If it's one length, gently pin it under the bottom section. Both ways look super chic.
Half Updo
Pull half of your hair back and let the rest of those curls hang free. Start by spritzing hair with an enzyme-fortified spray to bring life back into your curls. Rake the top section of the hair back and gently pin it back with a clip. It's as simple as that. Dress it up with an embellished bobby pin or other hair accessory to add a bit more glam and you're ready for a night on the town!
Wear a Romantic Curl
Soft, wavy romantic curls are the perfect complement to a pretty cocktail dress. To get your curls to embrace this romantic look is simple. After washing your hair, let it air dry until it's almost dry. Spritz with a prepping spray. Using a round brush, blow dry the front sections of the hair until they're smooth. Using a large barrel curling iron, wrap 2-inch sections around it to curl them. Start about halfway up the hair with the iron so your curls look relaxed. Finish with a bit of hydrating oil.
