That smoky eye shadow may look red hot, but it can be hard to find a lip color that doesn't clash with it or make your face look too busy. Leaving your lips bare and plain can be a bore, too, and that's where the glossy nude lip style comes into play. With a glossy nude lip, you can wear your most outrageous outfit or eye makeup and still keep your lips looking ultra-kissable.

Rub a lip exfoliator over your lips to get all the dead skin off. There's no point in glossing up dry and cracked lips.

Rinse the exfoliator off with water and pat your lips dry with a towel.

Apply a layer of lip balm to make sure your lips are nice and smooth. Let the balm soak into your lips so they can be smooth and oh-so-soft.

Brush a thin layer of concealer evenly over your lips. Don't go overboard. The shellacked-lip look is less than chic.

Gloss over your lips generously with a clear lip gloss. Pucker up!

To give your lips a little more color, try a pale pink or purple-colored lip gloss.
