1.
Pull your hair back into a ponytail if this works for your style. It doesn’t have to be fancy or even neat -- just get it up and out of the way. If your hair is too short for a pony, go straight for the shower cap.
2.
Grab the shower cap by the elastic edge and pull it gently over your hair. Check yourself out in the mirror to make any adjustments. Tuck your hair under the cap all the way around the edges and pull the elastic edge down about an inch onto your forehead to make sure your hair stays completely dry.
3.
Hop into the shower and suds yourself up. Don’t worry about keeping your head out of the water spray -- the plastic shower cap will keep the water from getting to your mane. Do your thing and jump out when you’re done.
4.
Dry off the shower cap gently if it got damp in the shower. Dry off your face, neck and shoulders, too -- if they’re wet when you take off the shower cap, your hair might get wet. Slip off the shower cap and let your hair go free -- your bod is squeaky clean, and your hair is nice and dry.
