Dry scalp can be a big irritation for many people, both literally and figuratively. Not only does the scalp feel itchy, but it can create annoying and embarrassing white flakes that show on the scalp, in the hair and even on clothes. There are many prescription and over-the-counter shampoos and treatments you can buy to treat dry scalp, but there is also a way to properly oil the scalp to help treat and improve that itchy, flaky scalp.

1.

Mix together 1 drop tea tree oil with 10 drops almond oil.

2.

Pour the tea tree and almond oil mixture onto the scalp and massage thoroughly into the scalp. Massaging the scalp also helps encourage the hair follicle to release natural oils, which is going to help the dry scalp as well.

3.

Leave the mixture on the scalp for 5 to 10 minutes.

4.

Wash with a gentle shampoo and condition well.

5.

Repeat every other day or as needed until the dry scalp is improved or resolved.
