Sometimes even the most gorgeous gams need a helping hand. Whether you want to camouflage a birthmark, tattoo, some varicose veins or the evidence of encountering a table corner in the dark, concealing leg makeup can perk your pins right up. Using leg makeup isn’t hard, though it can take some practice to make it invisible. The secret to flawless leg makeup is to blend, blend, blend. Once you’ve got that down, you can hide leg makeup as well as it hides your flaws.
1.
Apply a dime- or quarter-size dot of leg makeup to the area you wish to cover. Smooth it over your skin with your hands. Let it set for a second or two.
2.
Use a cosmetic sponge to thin out and blend the edges of the makeup. A soft patting motion works best.
3.
Check your results in a mirror, in several kinds of lighting. If you’ve matched your skin tone exactly and blended the edges of the makeup, it should be invisible.
4.
Cover your legs from ankles to thighs with spray-on stockings or a light spray tan. Making both legs the same, even color should conceal your spot coverage completely.
5.
Let everything dry completely before you get dressed to avoid smudging the leg makeup or staining your clothes.
Choose a leg makeup color that exactly matches your skin. This is very important, because there’s no way to conceal leg makeup if it’s a noticeably different color from the rest of your leg. Leg makeup works best on freshly hairless, exfoliated and moisturized legs.
Never swim in leg makeup unless you’ve tested how well your chosen brand stands up to water.
