With piercing green eyes like yours, it is important to get the right eye makeup shade to really give them that extra boost. Eyeliner frames your eyes and, therefore, you will want a colors that really will bring out the beauty and light in them. Selecting the right eyeliner shades boils down to choosing a hue that will either contrast or complement your eye color.

Green

Green eyeliner is surprisingly a perfect color to wear if you have green eyes. Select a deep moss-like shade. A deeper darker green will allow your eyes to really pop. Dark green eyeliner will make your green eyes appear lighter, brighter and wider. This will give you an overall fresh-faced look. Using a lighter green as an eye shadow creates a nice look, as well.

Brown

Brown eyeliners are cool neutral and will naturally complement your green eyes as brown earth complements thick green leaves in nature. Choose a shimmery almost bronze brown color to add sparkle. The brown should be rather dark to enable your eyes to be reflective and gleaming. Use the brown mainly on the top eyelid to give yourself a retro heavy eyelid look.

Purple

Purple is a direct contrast to green and so a deep plum or dark mauve shade of eyeliner will really make for a sharp and stunning contrast against your beautiful green eyes. Select a deep purple that is more matte as opposed to shimmery. This will contrast the undertones of your green eyes and allow them to appear bright and almost electric against a cool purple backdrop. Using a purple eye shadow that is slightly lighter will create a stunning graduated look.

Peach

Peach or soft pink eyeliner works nicely for green eyes. This is another contrasting shade that will help your eyes sparkle and gleam brightly. Peach or soft pinks have red and orange undertones. These are all direct contrasts to all shades of green and will make your eyes seem a stronger and deeper green. This is a great nude look also for a subtle glow.
