What Color Tights to Wear With a Black, Pink and White Dress?

Did Taylor Beckett have a tights conundrum of her own? Hmm ...

There's no doubt about it: The tights must be right -- and if you're donning a dress of multiple colors, the guideline goes double. A good pair of tights can amp up your look, but the wrong pair can put it on blast. So what's a girl to do with a dress that has pink, black and white in it? Let's just say you've got to loosen up to find the right tights.

Pink Lady

Pink tights don't have to look ridiculous. Particularly if the colors in your dress are limited to small prints or patches, feel free to go a little wild with the color. Still feeling too shy? Slip on a sheer pair, then strut your stuff.

Not Your Momma's Nude Tights

We'll admit it, you're not likely to see the words "nude" and "tights" together in any of today's major fashion mags. But believe it or not, nude tights are no longer the unnatural-looking nightmare your Great-Aunt Susie sported in the '60s (you know she did!). Scope out a shade that blends with your skin tone the best; work a sheer pair to get your gams a-glowin'.

Going Gray

The pink-black-and-white combo tends to give off cool vibes as opposed to warmer tones, so it's only natural to slip on a pair of silvery tights. Gray tights are best done opaque; steer clear of the sheer ones to prevent giving your limbs an ashy look. For a bit more oomph, try a patterned pair.

Fallback Black

If all else fails, whip out some black tights and call it a day. You really can't go wrong with these; they'll slim your legs, lengthen them and of course match your dress. If the thought of plain black tights leaves you feeling blah, try tinkering with the texture; lacy tights will give a sexy vintage vibe, while ribbed ones will look cute and quirky (and make your legs look even longer).
