It can be tough trying to figure out which pair of shoes complement your outfit best. Sure, it's simple when you're working with neutral shades, but when you throw colors into the mix, sometimes things get a little more confusing. Learn what shoes to wear with your blue clothes and take your outfit up one very fashionable notch.
Black
Black is one of those colors that goes with pretty much everything, and blue is no exception. Your black shoes look fantastic with any shade of blue. If you want to keep your look simple and chic, opt for black shoes with darker shades of blue like navy. The difference in color is noticeable but still subtle.
Metallic
Let your blue shimmer and shine with a metallic shoe. Silver and gold both work with blue, so pick your favorite. Keep it more simple with a matte metallic or up the glam factor in a super-shiny pair. Metallic shoes are a fantastic pairing with a cocktail dress, so if you're getting a little dressy, try a silver or gold pump or strappy sandal with your fancy frock.
Brown
Brown is another neutral that can work with blue. Try a soft, pastel shade of blue with a tan, or make it more interesting by wearing it with a chocolate brown. In the summer months, try a light blue skirt or dress with a brown sandal. When it cools off, pair your blue sweater with skinny jeans and brown boots.
Bright Colors
You don't have to play it safe. Make your outfit bold by pairing your blue with bright colored shoes. As long as your shoes are in a complementary shade, you're good to go. If you're stuck on what color to choose, check out a color wheel that will let you know what shades go well with blue. These days, pairing bright colors is absolutely on trend, so don't be afraid to try a yellow, orange or red shoe. Fun pinks look fab, too, so pick out a colorful shoe and have fun.
