The little black dress is every stylish woman's best friend and when paired with gold shoes, the look is stunning. If you're wearing this ensemble during a colder time of year, you'll need some pantyhose with it. Though they may not be the most comfortable accessory, tights are can complement your outfit with another layer or add some color.
Bright Pink or Turquoise
So this may sound on the extreme side, but the fashion experts at "Who What Wear" consider bright pink and turquoise tights to be fashion forward. With a black dress and just a hint of gold on your shoes, you can pull this off without taking a huge fashion risk. Of course, your legs will become the main attraction, so as long as you're comfortable with that, go for it.
An obvious and easy pantyhose color to pull off is black. Regardless of the opacity that you prefer -- opaque to very sheer -- your legs will be slimmed by the dark hue. By wearing all black, your gold shoes will pop and become the statement piece of the outfit.
A neutral pantyhose hue that is less expected than basic black is gray. Gray pantyhose in any shade have a mod feel. For a black dress, wear gray tights that clearly contrasts, so it doesn't just look like you've mismatched your outfit. Though you're still sticking with a neutral, you'll create a color-blocked ensemble and add visual interest.
Wearing multi-color tights doesn't mean you have to get crazy. Try a subtle pair with a print like a black and gray pinstripe or a polka dot with a hint of a brighter color. If you like the idea of pink but don't feel comfortable with full pink gams, try black tights with a pink decal embroidered on it. However, if you see horizontal stripes channeling a rainbow, stay far, far away.
