When it comes to your style, it's common to wonder what kind of top goes with your jeans. No matter if you're dressing up for a casual outing or taking your jeans out for a night on the town, there's likely to be a host of options that will do. However, when you're making your selection in the opposite direction -- starting with your purple top, deciding which denim does the trick can be almost as challenging as choosing where to go.
Dark Denim
For a simple, easy way to go, dress up your outfit with a pair of dark denim skinny jeans. The dark wash helps when you're looking for them to serve as the appropriate dressy bottom for hanging out with the girls for drinks or venturing out on a date. Match your dark stretch extra long skinnies with a button-down ruffle blouse. Add a pair of animal print peep-toe heels and head out for a good time.
Light Denim
For a casual, more relaxed look, pair your regular blue jeans with a purple graphic tee. The blue jeans you select should be your standard blue wash denim; choose ones that purposefully are worn and torn if you want a more edgy style. Choose fit-and-flair or relaxed cuts for a standard casual Friday look. Add flat shoes, thong sandals or flip-flops to complete this ensemble.
White
Slide into a hip-hugging pair of white stretch denim jeans for an afternoon enjoying coffee and beignets with an old friend. Add a loose-fitting purple off the shoulder crop shirt. Wear a white thin tank under your top if you're not a fan of exposing your mid-drift. Finish this look with the perfect shoe; for a sporty look either yellow high top sneakers or for carefree style, wear metallic flip-flops.
Gray
Gray and purple are a secret match made in heaven. Grey works like black, in that it can be dressed up or down, but also like white, since it can be paired with almost anything without stealing the limelight. Pair your purple cowl neck, capped-sleeve sweater top with a pair of gray skinny jeans and add a black belt around your waist. Finish this look with a pair of sky-high black stiletto pumps or a colorful peep-toe patent leather heel in red, turquoise or mustard.
