Brown boots are a staple for fall and winter and, really, any girl should have them in her wardrobe. They're a great alternative to sneakers or flats when you want to look chic and stay warm, not to mention they look killer with jeans. So the question becomes, "What color jeans make this cute ensemble even better?" Save, maybe bringing back the acid wash jeans of the 1980s, most of the jeans you already have in your closet will work.
Black jeans are slimming, versatile and, yes, they even go with brown boots. According to "Ladies' Home Journal" one of the fashion rules you can totally break is this one. Black and brown look very chic together, and this instance is no exception. However, this combination looks most fabulous when there is a clear contrast if your boots are chestnut brown, tan or another lighter shade.
For an earthy outfit or a monochromatic one, go with tan jeans. According to "Glamour," you can do this monotone look well by wearing the same color separates but with different intensities and hues so they don't completely match. Your boots are likely to differ from your dyed denim, so use these pieces as a jumping off point for a stellar one-color outfit.
Blue jeans are kind of a big "duh" when it comes to matching your brown boots. Light or dark, distressed or sleek, almost any jean in your closet is going to look great with your boots. For a more sophisticated vibe, wear a dark wash but be more casual in a light or medium one.
Gray jeans are a great alternative to blue as they go with just about everything but change it up a bit. Gray and brown are both neutrals and will complement each other nicely. Whether you prefer heather or charcoal, you'll have no trouble with this combination.
Though this may not be an obvious color choice, it's a good one, according to CBS News. To make red jeans work, it suggests pairing them with darker or muted tones, and your brown boots are just that. Bright jeans like reds are a fun way to add some serious color to your look but keep your outfit coordinated.
