It's time to pack up you summer clothes and update your fall wardrobe! You finally have the tan you've been working for the last few months, but the weather is starting to get a bit nippy, meaning it may be time to bust out your favorite pair of pants. The great thing about fall weather is that it's usually not too cold that you have to pull out all the stops but is just cool enough to incorporate a few of key accessories like scarves and trendy hats. Jewelry and shoes are two items to help incorporate bold color into your look.

Jeans

A flattering pair of jeans can be a girl's best friend, so make sure you wear styles that accentuate your best features. Thin women should rock out in a hip pair of skinny jeans, which will work to create the illusion of a curvier appearance. Hourglass shapes should look for boot-cut styles that provide balance to their wider-set hips. Women who are pear shaped are larger around the hips and thighs and look best in jeans with a slight flare. Having a wider pant leg helps proportion their body. Low-waisted jeans will also detract from large hips.

Sweaters

It's hard to imagine fall weather without sweaters coming to mind. Depending on how simple or trendy you are feeling, there are plenty of styles to consider. For a layered look, wear a classic cardigan sweater over a tighter-fitting tank top. Most cardigan sweaters hit at the waist but some styles are longer in length, hitting at or below the hips. Sweater dresses are another style to rock in fall weather. The length is longer and resembles a dress but is constructed in a warm cotton or knit material. To add a bit of edge, look for sweaters with stripes or patterns.

Jackets

One perk about fall fashion is that it allows you to wear jackets that won't hide the rest of your outfit. During the winter months, jackets are thicker because the weather is colder, meaning that your blouse and even some of your skirts will be hidden under a wool coat. Fall doesn't require the same amount of protection from the elements, so don't be shy about busting out your favorite boyfriend blazer or leather jacket and throwing it into the mix. Look for styles that are well-fitting. Thin women will benefit from a snug fit while pear-shaped women may opt for a jacket that hips below the waist.

Accessories

Fall accessories can really enhance an ensemble. For a chic or edgy look, try wearing a classic black beret or a wool fedora hat. A simple scarf is another item that add instant glam to any outfit. You can either style a scarf loosely around your top or make for a snug fit by tucking it into your jacket. When it comes time for picking out a pair of shoes, don't feel like heels are a necessity. While stilettos do add instant height and elegance to your look, a pair of knee-high leather riding boots is another flattering style that you will be comfortable in.
