Waxing can be an effective way to get rid of unwanted hair on the body if you can handle a little pain during the process. But many people find that waxing leaves their pores open after the process is done, which can leave them vulnerable to dirt, debris or bacteria entering the skin. Close your pores after waxing with some items from the kitchen or local grocery store to keep your skin looking its best.

1.

Apply ice to the waxed area to provide immediate cooling. The ice also helps the pores shrink and close.

2.

Mash the pulp of a papaya and apply it to the skin. The antioxidants and citric acid of the fruit helps shrink and close the pores.

3.

Rinse off the papaya with warm water.

4.

Apply some witch hazel to a cotton ball or clean washcloth and apply it to the skin. Witch hazel has natural antibacterial properties and helps close the pores as well.
